Philosophy teacher
Mr. Walid Adel Al-Saqqaf holds the position of Philosophy teacher at the Baseera Institute, where he teaches foundational, historical, and textual philosophy subjects. Prior to joining the institute, Walid received his philosophical education and training in England, Italy, and Germany. He also worked as a Latin language and philosophical texts teacher at Eton College and as a lecturer in philosophical texts at the Philosophy Department of the University of Munich. He continues to teach Latin and philosophical texts, particularly within the Oxford Ancient Languages Project. His interests lie in various branches of philosophy within the analytical philosophical tradition, as well as in Greek and Islamic philosophical heritage.
Through his teaching efforts at the Baseera Institute, his aim is to contribute to an Arabic philosophical revival rooted in its origins and without isolation from others. He seeks to promote a style of philosophy that values clarity, precision, and logical reasoning as its core principles.
