About the program

The Accredited Program for Philosophical Thinking Facilitators (P4C)

This program is designed for: Facilitators accredited as foundational-level practitioners.

It include

Advanced skills in refining philosophical questioning.

Advanced skills in extending and expanding concepts.

Planning skills for the growth and improvement of the philosophical community.

Linking the four types of thinking (reflective thinking, cooperative thinking, creative thinking, critical thinking) with the six strands in teaching philosophical thinking and the community of inquiry: inquary, concept-building, dialogue, reasoning, reflection, and valuing virtues.

The participant will be able to

Appreciate the educational value of teaching philosophical thinking (P4C).

Familiarize themselves with advanced facilitation methods in teaching philosophical thinking.

Develop their competence as a facilitator and support them as practitioners within the philosophical community of inquiry.

Distinguish and adopt practices and principles of community of inquary and the six strands that form the basis of the philosophical thinking educational approach.

Begin to see themselves as a "philosophical educators," encouraging their students to develop the skills and virtues of "philosophical learners," regardless of age or subject matter.

Integrate fun with thinking.

Note

This program is intended for facilitators accredited at the foundational level in teaching philosophical thinking (P4C) who have completed six field workshops.

The participant must complete six field workshops in their vicinity after attending the training program to obtain accreditation as an advanced-level practitioner from Baseera and DialogueWorks.

The program is on-site, and the number of participants is limited.
